Joe Cheng Biography

Joe started his entertainment career as a fashion and commercial model. He made his acting debut in 2003 TV drama “The Rose”, starring alongside Ella Chen and Jerry Huang. The drama was a big hit, and Joe became a popular actor in Taiwan since then.

Joe continued to star in numerous dramas while keeping his modelling job. He has mentioned that he won’t give up as a model because it’s where he started his entertainment career, and he hopes that he will do well in both acting and modelling.

2005 was another breakthrough year for Joe; he starred in Japanese manga adapted TV drama “It Started with a Kiss” (ISWAK) with Ariel Lin, which was a big hit across Asia… and Joe becomes an international star.

The sequel of It Started With A Kiss begins with Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu's wedding and honeymoon. Even after marriage, they experience problems and interferences within their marriage such as mistaken pregnancy, misunderstandings, and a run-in with a girl from Zhi Shu's past. Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu switch to medical school to become nurse and doctor. During that time, Zhi Shu meets new rivals who wish to outdo him and Xiang Qin makes four new friends, and one of them likes her and wishes to replace Zhi Shu. The conflicts continues when Zhi Shu who realize it first becomes very jealous and he release his anger towards Xiang Qin, his wife. Somehow, there were also a lot of their sweet moments in this sequel such as their 1st wedding anniversay, Xiang Qin's birthday, visiting Xiang Qin's village and much more. There is a lot of kissing scene, romance but it doesn't go beyond the limit. LOL! Zhi Shu sure has a very open-minded and suportive family.

This drama was the best drama I had ever seen. The actress (Ariel Lin) did a very good job. When she cried, i cried. when she laughed, i laughed. It's just that, when the moments that she embarassed herself infront of Zhi Shu (Joe Cheng), I just don't like it. I have downloaded this drama and i watched it countlessly. This makes me being one of their fan. I even promoted this drama to my friends and they agreed that this was the best drama. I really hope for the sequel of this drama. There is a rumours telling that there will be The Last Kiss in 2009. But until now, I haven't heard anything about it.
